Panthers win heavier weights, dual vs Bulldogs

Centralia was able to make its comeback on Thursday at home.

The Panthers defeated Mexico 44-35 in a dual after falling behind 29-9. After having an open at 150 pounds, Centralia won five of the final six matches at the heavier weight classes to pick up the victory. Mexico had six points from an open at 106 pounds and then Logan Hilderman won via 16-0 technical fall at 113 over Waylon Adkisson, Kyler Benne by pin at 120 over Porter Douglass and Brayden Arnold by pin at 126 over Tucker Loyd. Starting from 157 pounds, Louis Suddarth pinned Isai Hernandez, Rex Bryson pinned Hunter Love at 165, Rayden Booska pinned Jerian Evans, Ian Tuggle pinned Grant Walker at 215 and Marshall Kable won via 15-0 technical fall over Travis Shramek.

Charlie Robinson beat Jesus Garcia via 17-1 technical fall at 132 pounds for Centralia, and Jonathan Williams beat Kyle Lewis via a 15-6 major decision at 138. Grant Van Horn pinned Coulten Baker at 175 pounds to win for Mexico.

Centralia has a tournament Saturday in Brookfield, and Mexico competes at a Saturday tournament in De Soto, Kansas.
