Mexico knew the who and where for districts next week but had one more regular season game on Saturday.
The Bulldogs lost 35-13 at Class 5 MICDS (5-4) after they lost three fumbles and trailed 28-0 at halftime. Mexico (5-4) outscored MICDS 13-7 in the second half with a 57-yard touchdown run and 27-yard touchdown catch (receiving a throw from senior brother Charlie) by Connor Fisher. However, MICDS recovered a fumble at its own six-yard line after Mexico advanced deep into opponent territory on 10 plays in the first quarter and recovered another in the end zone for a touchdown four minutes away from halftime.
Mexico has the No. 4 seed in Class 4 District 5 and will host No. 5 seed Kirksville (4-5) next week.
