Mexico soccer finally scored in the 76th minute on Saturday but couldn't mount any more late offense.
The Bulldogs lost 2-1 to Southern Boone (18-6) in the Class 2 District 4 tournament in Moberly to bring their season to an end at a 6-15 record. Mexico lost to Southern Boone 5-0 during the regular season and trailed 2-0 in the 62nd minute after Miles Butler scored his second goal of the second half. Grant Walker recorded 17 saves in his final game with Mexico, and fellow senior Alex Rodriguez scored Mexico's only goal.
