Mexico varsity basketball hasn't lost to Marshall since 2020, and that was true on Tuesday night on Gary Filbert Court.
Before the boys extended their Marshall win streak to 12 games, the girls beat Marshall 62-50 after maintaining a lead throughout the game to open their North Central Missouri Conference schedule with a win. Alyssa Miller and Scottie Smith led the way for the Lady Bulldogs (2-3) with a respective 24 points and eight rebounds and 20 points and six rebounds. Grace Hudson finished with nine points, five assists and three steals. Aidyn Wilcoxson led Marshall (1-5) with 16 points, and Josephine Reinke had 14 points.
Mexico plays at conference foe Kirksville (2-1) at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
