Rice Family Dentistry has announced the retirement of Dr. M. Elwood Rice.
Rice Family Dentistry’s service continues to the community with Dr. M. Elliott Rice (2022 UMKC School of Dentistry), in partnership with his wife, Ashleigh (2017 Missouri Southern State University).
Dr. Elwood Rice (1982 UMKC School of Dentistry) and his wife, Liz, moved back to their hometown of Mexico and opened Rice Family Dentistry in July 1982. Dr. Rice was involved in organized dentistry throughout his career as an active member of the Missouri Dental Association, American Dental Association, Missouri Dental Foundation, Missouri Dental Insurance Services and as a fellow in the American COllege of Dentistts and the International College of Dentists. He extends his thanks to all his loyal patients, staff and the profession that he will miss dearly.
Dr. Elliott Rice moved back to Mexico with Ashleigh and their two children, Madison, 3, and Everett, 1, in May 2022. He joined Rice Family Dentistry upon his return. Elliott and Ashleigh will continue to serve patients in Mexico and the surrounding area for years to come in their current office, 703 Medical Park Dr.
