he Missouri Military Academy soccer team, which proudly finished 2nd in the state in fall 2024, joined Mexico Rotary Club on Friday, Jan. 17.
MMA Athletic Director Brian Meny, Coach Elliot Goodwin and MMA cadets/soccer players Alexander McBride, Eric Shellabarger, Avin Hernandez, and Fernando Puebla shared insights into MMA Colonels Athletics.
They highlighted the team's success, along with achievements across other MMA sports at the district, state, and national levels. This includes top finishes at state for swimming, and the Academy’s Army JROTC drill team, which secured a national championship in 2023.
Additionally, the discussion covered the differences in athletics between boarding and non-boarding schools and the valuable collaboration between Mexico High School and MMA to support local athletes.
