Roy Exendine

Roy Exendine, formerly of Mexico, Mo and Wauchula, Fl was 80 yrs old when he passed away peacefully on July 16th at home in Sebring, Florida surrounded by family members. Born in Waynesville, Missouri but grew up in Mexico the 2nd son of Ernest and Irene Exendine who preceded him in death. Roy is survived by his older brother Frank (Jacki) of Moberly, Missouri. His sister Carolyn (Larry) Peck preceded him in death in 2022. Roy was married to Linette and had one child Julie (Clay)Haynes of Mexico. He married his present wife, Cathy, in 1972 and they had 3 children Shannon (Mexico), Joshua (Sebring, Fl) and Samantha (Wauchula, Fl). 8 grandchildren Chance Gregg of Mexico, Mo, Codie(David) Borntrager of Centralia, MO, Clinton (Kelsie) Gregg of Centralia, MO, Marc Wells of Bell, Fl, Michael Exendine, Kelsey Dickey, Cailyn Dickey, and Talia Dickey of Wauchula, Fl and 8 great grandchildren Jaelyn Gregg (Centralia, MO), Carter Borntrager and Adelyn Borntrager (Centralia, MO), Eli, Luna and Jaxson Gregg (Centralia, MO), Manny Gamez (Wauchula, Fl) and Mykayla Exendine (Sebring, Fl). Numerous nieces and nephews and many friends he made around the U.S. Roy was a mechanic and truck driver for many years and after retirement he and Cathy traveled throughout the U.S. in their motorhome visiting many of the National Parks. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His motto was to live life to the fullest which he did every day. No services are planned at this time.
