Posted

Sam Ryan will be called up to the college level.

The Mexico senior signed to play baseball for Central Methodist University in Fayette during a ceremony on Friday at the Mexico Sports Complex. Ryan was an all-district player last season after pitching to a 1.20 ERA (part of a career 13-5 record as a pitcher) and is having a great season at the plate this year with a batting average above .400, according to head coach Daniel McCarty. Two years ago, the Bulldogs had Andrew Runge and Matt McCurdy sign to play at Central Methodist.
