Samuel Scott Malloy, 39, of New Florence, Missouri passed away March 6, 2025 at University Hospital in Columbia surrounded by all his loved ones. Sam was born on August 3, 1985 in St. Louis, son of Danny Malloy and Linda Roberts.
Sam moved to Warrenton where he attended Warrenton High School. After High School, Sam moved to New Florence with his dad becoming a carpenter for several years. While living in New Florence, he started a cattle farm which has since grown and continues to grow. In addition to farming, Sam added a lumber yard business for several years. As if Sam didn’t have enough projects going, he felt he needed to start a farrow to finish hog operation. He was always looking for more opportunities to grow himself and family in his business ventures. Sam finished his last years hauling livestock for his trucking company, Malloy Livestock, taking care of his cattle operation, and family.
Sam resides in New Florence where he lived with his wife Jennifer (Timmerberg) of 18 years with 12 of those years united in marriage. To this marriage they shared two beautiful boys, Logan (13) and Lucas (5).
Sam had a passion for the outdoors that words couldn’t explain. He was always up before sun and out the door to meet the guys at the coffee shop to catch up on the latest going on in town, or to start tackling anything that needed to be done for the day, not returning until the sun went down. Sam loved hunting, fishing, and trapping with his second home often in a goose blind or treeing coons with his beloved coon hounds. He was one that would always find something to do outside no matter the weather. There wasn’t anything Sam couldn’t do or fix. He was truly a jack of all trades. He was a hardworking man and always made sure his family was taken care of. Sam spent his extra time with his kids teaching them all he could- whether it be fixing a fence, how to patch a tire, changing the oil in the vehicles, or even how to set lines on the river.
Sam is preceded in death by his grandparents, Jewell Malloy, Loraine Malloy, Richard Hahn, and Arlene Hahn. Surviving members include, wife Jennifer and their two children, Logan and Lucas of home.
