Sharon D. (Bryan) Vinson, of Mexico, Mo. claimed her heavenly reward May 12, 2024 at the age of 81, due to complications of Parkinsonism.

Sharon was born in Hollister, Calif. to Loren E. and Margeret (Wheatcraft) Bryan of Paicines, Calif.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert L. Munford and two grandchildren, Michael and Jordan Munford.

Sharon was creative and loved to paint. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, photography and spending time with her family. Not one to follow the crowd, friends and family never knew what color hair she might choose next. A voracious reader, Sharon leaves behind many well loved books. Those who knew her can hardly recall a time where she didn’t have a camera in her hand, snapping candid and nature shots whenever the opportunity presented itself. Sharon was an avid fisherwoman, and you could often find her on a boat fishing for whatever was biting. Perhaps her love of fishing stemmed from her love of water, as she loved to swim and made many fond memories with her family on a houseboat on Lake Shasta, Calif. Possibly the only thing Sharon loved more than fishing and being in the water was finding a good bargain - you could often find her up early on the weekends mapping out the best garage sale routes. Above all, there was nothing Sharon valued more than spending time with her family.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Bryan; father, Loren Bryan; first husband, Robert Munford; and grandchildren, Michael and Jordan Munford.  She is survived by her husband, James Vinson of the home; her sisters, Annette (Frank) Arnall, Lea (Joel) Beem; her brothers, Jim (Dee) Bryan, and Greig (Linda) Bryan; her sons, Don (Carmen) Munford, Pat(Odell)Gaw of Jefferson City, Mike (Susan) Munford Of Mexico; and Sandy (Victor) Shull of Willard; also her grandchildren, Tina (Andrew) Claus, Meghan (Brian) Powell, Victoria (Colton) Shull, Brittany (Kendall) Munford, Hannah (Buck) Thomas, Hayley Munford, Brent Gaw,and Madison Munford; her great-grandchildren Matthew, Benjamin, Lydia, Evelyn, Natalie, Avarie, Spencer, Finley, Vaylynn, Skyanna, Ryker, Axl, Zane, Kinser, Kahne, and Octavia, along with many nieces and nephews.

A special mention of another survivor is her sister in law of 62 years, more of a sister actually, Ramona Munford of Mexico.

A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church in Laddonia at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18, officiated by Chris Atkinson, with visitation at 10 a.m. There will be refreshments after the service.
