Nolan Spickert's record-breaking didn't stop for Centralia on the second day of state track.
After breaking the 1600 school record while winning a medal in that event Friday, Spickert finished second along with his Class 3 boys 4x800 relay team of Dryst Bostick, Carter Moss and Wesley Robertson with a time of 8:06. Spickert was the runner-up in the 3200 after running for a school-record 9:23.42, breaking his own mark.
Landen Chapman broke his own Paris school record for the third time this weekend after winning state championships in the Class 1 boys 1600 and 800 on Friday. Chapman finished fourth in the 3200 with a record-breaking time of 9:50.58. The boys 4x800 relay team with Chapman, Owen Buie, Hayden DeOrnellas and Logan Mitchell finished 13th with a time of 8:45.97.
Mia Kendrick finished sixth for Paris in the Class 2 girls 200 with a time of 25.82. She competed in the long jump right after and finished 15th with a distance of 4.56 meters.
Van-Far's Garrett Hopke finished 16th in the Class 2 boys 1600 with a time of 10:88.44.
Ethan Ross also broke a Centralia school record he already owned with a fourth-place time of 49.97. It was his second medal of the day after taking seventh in the 100 with a 10.88.
Jacob Beard tied for sixth for Centralia in the boys pole vault with a height of 4.13 meters, securing his first medal in his senior year, and Josh Russell was another Centralia senior who medaled for the first time with an eighth-place throw of 46.57 meters in the discus. The Panthers finished fifth in the team standings at 31.5 points -- 0.5 points behind Blair Oaks -- to miss a team trophy by one place.
Cora King secured her second state medal and personal-best throw of the weekend with an eighth-place throw of 10.81 meters in the Class 3 girls shot put. Kenedee Moss earned her second medal of the weekend with a personal-best time of 5:25.37 in the 1600 to finish third. Addison Reynolds made the finals in the javelin but missed a medal by one place with a ninth-place throw of 34.53 meters.
