Stephen Glen Davenport, 69 of Centralia passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2023 at Boone Hospital Center.

Friends and family were invited to Stephen’s life celebration service Saturday, Jan. 14 at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia, with burial in the Centralia City Cemetery.

Stephen was born on May 8, 1953, in Mexico, the son of Harold Glen and Leota Mae (Eaton) Davenport.

On Aug. 8, 1975 in Centralia, Stephen married Reba Jean Peck and she survives of the home.

Along with his wife, Reba, Stephen is survived by his daughters, Sara Pemberton and husband Tad of Centralia, and Donna Davenport of Centralia; a grandson, Jace Davenport of Centralia; siblings, Greg Davenport and wife Tracy of Centralia, Lisa Rusch and husband Denny of Centralia; nieces, Christie Branson and husband Zach and Mandi Barnes and husband Sam both of Centralia; a nephew, Matthew Rusch and wife Tierney of Centralia.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and his mother and father-in-law, Gene and Margaret Peck.

Stephen worked for Boone Electric Cooperative for many years, serving as a Right of Way Arborist and a foreman before his retirement. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, First Christian Church in Centralia, and a former volunteer firefighter.

Stephen was an avid outdoor enthusiast, he loved to duck hunt, read, take scenic drives with his family, look at the trees, wildlife and all of nature’s beauty. Since 2012 his favorite pastime was being with his grandson, Jace, whom he adored.
