The Mexico Ledger extends a sincere thank you to the loyal readers and supporters who have already contributed to our “Support Local Journalism” campaign.

Your support directly fuels our mission to deliver truly local news. Our staff is there at city council and school board meetings — serving as the eyes and ears of the community. On Friday nights, they’re on the sidelines covering local sports. On weekends, they’re out capturing the moments that bring our community together.

Each week, our goal remains the same: to produce the best newspaper possible and reflect the people, stories and issues that define Audrain County.

The funds raised through this campaign help cover the essential costs of producing, printing and delivering The Mexico Ledger — expenses that continue to rise.

Without additional support, we will be forced to make difficult decisions about where to focus our coverage. That could include reducing reporting in outlying areas beyond Audrain County, including long-standing coverage of North Callaway and Centralia high schools. These are communities we value deeply, but continuing that coverage requires stronger financial support.
