Mexico High School senior Samantha Martin was nominated for the Missouri School Board Association John T. Belcher Scholarship. Her application will advance to the state competition. The decision was announced by the Mexico School District board of education following an executive session during its Nov. 19 meeting. Martin and the two other applicants, Jordan McCune and Marali Herrara-Amaya, were awarded $250 scholarships from the district.
