Shots were fired but no injuries were reported Saturday in a neighborhood in Mexico, according to a Mexico Public Safety Department news release.
At 9:45 p.m., Mexico Public Safety Department personnel responded to the 600 block of Grove Street regarding gunshots being fired. Responding officers learned there was a disturbance between two groups in that area, which led to members of each group shooting guns, with three houses, one shed and a vehicle being damaged as a result, the release stated.
Information from residents and the investigation led to some people being taken into custody on Sunday for their roles in the incident, with two 15-year-old male juveniles taken to a juvenile detention center with authorization from the 12th Circuit Court Juvenile Division. Cynquail C. Hardman, 18, of Mexico, was taken to the Audrain County Jail for unlawful use of weapon, armed criminal action, and property damage-first degree.
