Thunderbirds score season-high to win Courtwarming against Louisiana 75-59

The North Callaway set season-highs for points and assists on Friday night.

On a night when a new Courtwarming King and Queen were crowned, the Thunderbirds defeated Eastern Missouri Conference foe Louisiana 75-59 by scoring a season-high on a season-high 19 assists. Jamarion Glover had a big second half 14 of his 21 points in the latter two quarters and finished with eight rebounds (six offensive) and five assists. Three other Thunderbirds (3-4, 2-1 EMO) finished in double figures, including Dalton Brewer with 13 points, Jake Blevins with 11 points and Levi Drake with 10 points. Two more came close to double figures, including Courtwarming King Clayton Moore (and Queen Natalie Shryock) with eight points and nine rebounds, and Austin Brown with eight points. 

Louisiana (3-5, 0-3 EMO) had two 20-point games from Javon Ries and Kane Mayfield, who also had 11 rebounds. The Bulldogs turned the ball over 21 times, and North Callaway came away with 11 steals.

North Callaway plays at Hallsville (4-1) at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 3 in its first game after Christmas break.
