In its home opener on Friday, North Callaway defeated Macon 18-7 -- leading 18-0 at halftime.
Jaiden Galbreath ran for 161 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries and Macon (0-2) only had 81 yards on offense. Galbreath added five tackles and two sacks on defense, and Wyatt Haden had 10 tackles on defense to go with 46 yards on seven carries. Haden made a leaping 35-yard touchdown catch to make it 12-0 in the second quarter, and Carter Moore had an eight-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter.
North Callaway (2-0) hosts Eastern Missouri Conference foe Montgomery County (0-2) next week.
