Community R-6 freshman Dylan Hoyt recorded a personal best time at Monday’s Clopton Hamburger Invitational.
He completed the 3.1-mile race in 19 minutes, 49.31 seconds and placed seventh overall in the boys race.
The Van-Far boys ran in the race, placing sixth. The Indians were led by Cayden Caldwell who finished 22nd in 22:35.73.
Also running for the team were Fulton Walsh (27th, 23:52.88), Ennis Childs (29th, 24:07.25), Skyler Penley (31st, 24:14.81) and Maciah Hug-Hernandez (38th, 27:07.36).
Two Van-Far girls also competed in Wednesday’s race. Junior Alayna Bryan placed 21st in 27:38:84, followed by sophomore Madelynn Caldwell in 22nd in 27:45.57.
