Community R-6 offense backed up a wild night from its pitching on Monday.
Four Trojan pitchers accounted for 11 of the game's 19 walks, but the Trojans beat Louisiana 18-14 on Senior Night at home. Community (6-6) scored in every inning to set a new season-high in runs scored in a game and came back after losing a 9-3 lead to fall behind 12-9. Nik Crider went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a double on top of his night on the mound, Kaiden Erdel finished 3-for-4 with three RBIs, Kyler Swaim had three RBIs after pitching a short start, Cooper Rohan scored three runs along with seniors Ean Johnson and Drake Welch. Johnson, Welch, Mark Zelle, Josh Schofield and track and field senior Kate Robnett were the spring sports seniors honored after the game.
Community (1-2 CAC) plays at Central Activities Conference foe Glasgow (8-4, 4-0 CAC) at 5 p.m. today.
