Van-Far defeats North Callaway under the lights for first time since 2003

Gage Gibson and the 2023 Van-Far Indians made history on Friday night by defeating Eastern Missouri Conference North Callaway 28-14 at home for the program's first win against the Thunderbirds since 2003. Gage Gibson finished with 203 offensive yards, including 138 rushing yards, and two touchdowns to do secure a victory his father, head coach and 2000 Van-Far graduate Lucas Gibson  couldn't. North Callaway threw three interceptions and had 153 rushing yards, only for the offense to stall thanks to penalties

“It’s amazing because I played here and I don’t remember beating them,” Lucas Gibson said. “We’re learning the system that put in, and they’re starting to execute now. A lot of them are sophomores still. It all starts up front, and that is where a lot of the sophomores are.”
