Van-Far football checked off two more boxes on Friday in its record-breaking season. The Indians defeated Eastern Missouri Conference rival Mark Twain 20-6 at home to win the Farmers' Cup rivalry game for the second time in 10 tries. Going into its Nov. 3 districts matchup at home against Chaffee (5-4), Van-Far (3-4 EMO) will have a 5-4 record for the program's first regular-season winning record since 2004.

The Indians' defense did a good job pushing Mark Twain (1-8, 1-6 EMO) back into fourth-and-long situations, tallying six sacks and five fourth-down stops, and kept the Tigers off the scoreboard until the final minute of the fourth quarter. For Van-Far's offense, quarterback Nikos Connaway threw touchdowns to Gaven Gaston and Gage Gibson and ran for a touchdown.
