As we continue to grow our reach and support local businesses, we’re looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Digital Sales Specialist to help drive audience engagement and advertising revenue across print and digital platforms.
Position Overview:
The Marketing & Digital Sales Specialist will focus on promoting Mexico Ledger’s advertising products, building strong relationships with local businesses and developing targeted marketing campaigns that help clients succeed. This hybrid role combines digital marketing strategy, content creation and direct ad sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sell digital and print advertising solutions to local and regional businesses
- Develop customized marketing plans using social media, email, display ads, and sponsored content
- Manage client accounts and ensure successful ad placements and campaign results
- Assist with promotional materials, event marketing, and special advertising projects
- Serve as a public-facing representative of the Mexico Ledger in the community
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing, digital sales, or media preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable meeting with clients in person, by phone, and over email
- Familiarity with social media platforms, Google Analytics, and digital advertising basics
- Organized, self-directed, and goal-driven
- Passion for supporting local journalism and small business success
