Three Mexico residents sustained moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Friday, June 2 on Missouri 22 at Audrain Road 9377. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the eastbound 2016 Chrysler 300, driven by Jamar M. Huddler, 20, of Mexico, hydroplaned and struck the westbound 2023 Toyota Camry, driven by Naydelyn Chacon Zapot, 20, of Mexico, head on. The two sustained moderate injuries, as did a passenger in the Camry, Angelica Zapot Mil, 41, of Mexico. Huddler was taken to University Hospital, Columbia, by private conveyance; Zapot and Mil were transported by ambulance to University Hospital. All three were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
Both vehicles were totaled and had to be towed from the scene.
