Audrain County Historical Society is currently holding its annual membership drive. The Society’s 2021 highlights were capped with the successful return of A Walk Back in Time. Throughout the year, the Society helps tell the story of everything Audrain County, housed on an 11-acre campus in the heart of Mexico. In December, the Society hosted Christmas at Graceland, the annual benefit dinner, with music, ugly sweaters and great music. And they are gearing up - COVID allowing - for 2022. Their annual dinner will be March 22, with a time and place to be determined. June 6-10 will be History Camp for all children who have completed grades 3-5.
Membership dues allow the Society to operate and to continue its outreach.
“Every penny counts,” said a Society spokesperson, “and your contribution secures tour guide jobs, allows us to present programs and keep our buildings and grounds looking good.”
Donations are tax deductible; for more information, contact the Society. They can also be found online at audrain.org.
