Bee Gees “Gold” takes Mexico stage

Posted

The Mexico Community was treated to a phenomenal evening of dancing the night away to everyone’s favorite Bee Gees songs by the Bee Gees Gold Tribute, straight from Las Vegas. Paul and Theresa Ridgway planned and hosted the event at their home on July 5, 2024. John Acosta (Barry), Eric Sean (Robin), Pete Sprague (Maurice) performed as the brothers Gibb and also performed several of Andy Gibbs songs as well as several songs the Bee Gees wrote for other performers. The guys nailed the look and sound of one of the most iconic groups of all time. The evening concluded with Tyron Lue’s annual Fireworks display. What an evening, the sound of the Bee Gees and the beauty of the fireworks. In addition to enjoying an absolutely fantastic show, 2 of Mexico’s non-profit organizations were the recipients of donations raised by the Bee Gees event. The parking fees for the event ($550) were donated to Audrain County Shelter Resource Coalition. Ra’Vae Moore, Executive Director said “ACSRC was happy to work with Paul on this project. He did an amazing job putting the event together and we would be excited to continue working together on future events” The Bee Gees signed banner was purchased by Jeff Arnold and presented to Jan Cifarelli, a huge Bee Gees fan.

The $525 plus an additional $100 in donations was presented by Paul and Teresa to Audrain Humane Society for their Pet Pals Foster/Adoption program. AHS launched Pet Pals in October 2023 and has been able to help over 120 animals since it’s launch. Donations such as these help with larger medical bills for homeless and neglected cats in dogs in our community.
