Betty J. Schade, 86, Columbia, passed away Fri., Jan. 5, 2024, at her home. She was born Oct. 20, 1937, in Sturgeon, the daughter of the late Barney and Maysel (Roberts) Barnes. On December 16, 1967, she was united in marriage to James Schade, who preceded her in death on September 4, 2016.
Mrs. Schade is survived by her children Roxy (J.B.)Cohen of Columbia, James Schade III of Mexico, and Jeannie Schade of Wichita, Kan.; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband James, one son Larry Prater, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Fri., Jan. 12, 2024, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until service time on Fri., Jan. 12, 2024, at the Funeral Home.
