William D. “Bill” Chrismer, 69, of Mexico, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.

Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 14, at Arnold Funeral Home with Kevin Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in Laddonia Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bill was born on February 6, 1954, in Mexico, the son of Roy Cameron and Erma Darline (Slavens) Chrismer.

Mr. Chrismer began working for Missouri Military Academy in 1989. After retiring in 2019, he continued helping transport cadets.

Bill loved the outdoors. He would gather firewood and spend many hours enjoying the beauty of nature. There was no other place he loved more than being outside. Bill passed his love for music, the outdoors, and firework displays on to his children. He loved big gatherings with all his friends and family and really cherished time spent driving his grandson around on the tractor. He didn't own a tv, but preferred spending quiet evenings on the patio watching the deer play in the yard. He never met a stranger and his wonderful sense of humor and wit will be missed by all.

Survivors include his daughter, Nicki (Matt) Robnett of Mexico; one grandson, Henry Robnett of Mexico; brother-in-law, Leo Schwartze of Mexico; sister-in-law, Vera Chrismer of Winfield, Kan.; nieces and nephew, Kathy (Larry) Loeffler of Olathe, Kansas, Carolyn Schwartze of Springfield, Kirstie (Jason) Vittone of Virginia, LeRoy Schwartze of Wright City and Robyn (Thane) Bailey of Winfield, Kan.; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Darline Chrismer; one son, Danny Chrismer; one brother, Bob Chrismer; one sister, Mary Ann Schwartze; and a nephew, Wayne Chrismer.

Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson Street, Mexico, Mo. 65265.
