BULLDOG BITES: Mexico High School Athletics Year-in-Review

Posted

As the 2022-23 school year comes to an end, we bid farewell to our Mexico High School athletic year, which saw many successes, both on the field/court and in the classroom.

The Mexico High School athletic programs provided opportunities for 245 students in a variety of sports. These 245 students earned an overall GPA of 3.14 and 8 students earned Academic All-State. These students demonstrated that not only were they successful under the lights, but they were also focused on their academics.

The 2022-23 year brought us one North Central Missouri Conference championship, and we were in three District Championships, giving the community entertainment year round, as many sports were playing late into their seasons!

Along with these team successes, our student-athletes were individually gifted at their respective sports, demonstrated by our six All-State athletes, 18 State qualifying athletes, and 60 All-NCMC athletes.

The 2022-2023 year was one with many successes, and as we see our 67 senior athletes ride off into the sunset, 14 of them moving on to their respective sports at the next level, we can be reminded every day, as we drive by our beautiful facilities, that we have even more athletes ready to create their legacy with Mexico High School athletics.
