Connie Dee (Wright) Brown, 75, of Mexico, passed away at 3:33 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022 surrounded by family, at University of Missouri Hospital.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Madison with Rev. Bob Stanford, Rev. Sam Hobbs and Rev. Glenn Forman officiating the service.

Ms. Brown was born on March 24, 1947 in Mexico the daughter of Marshall Clifford and Dorothy May Elizabeth (Hendren) Wright.

Connie had a long career in cosmetology and owned her own salon named “Connie’s Coiffures”. She also spent several years working as a manager of convenience stores. When Connie wasn’t working her regular jobs, she auctioneered and played in a country band called the “Midlanders” as a lead singer, keyboardist, guitarist and played tambourine. Connie was a social, outgoing person who loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. In her later years she developed a love for monkeys and peach cobbler.

Survivors include three daughters, Sheila Woolridge (partner, Beth Proctor) of Mexico, Kimberly (Woolridge-Wells) Replogle (husband, David) of Mexico, Melody (Brown) Hoover (husband, Jason) of Mexico; one son, Robbie Brown of Tipton; two sisters, Sharon Harrison of Mexico and Rita Powers of Mexico; seven grandchildren, Abagail Elizabeth Dee (Woolridge Replogle) Gordon (husband, Shane) of Mexico, Landon Everett Waisner (Kiambra Coley) of Mexico, Mackenzie May Replogle (Austin Taylor) of Mexico, Lorinn Riley Waisner of Mexico, Kendall Hoover of Mexico, Jessie Brown of Tipton and Alicia Brown of Tipton; several nieces, nephews and additional family, Michelle Qualls and Family, Brian Wright and Family, Christine Alexander and Family, Jeni Hegerfeld and Family, Chasity Montgomery and Family, Carie Loann Bell and Family, Lisa (Craig) Carter, Karen, Elizabeth and Katie (Bug) Giboney, Donald Lee Hendren and Family, John Luther Hendren and Family and best friend/partner in crime of 40 years Kaye Dowell.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Dorothy Wright; two brothers-in-law, Gary Powers and Glenn Harrison; one nephew, Brad Robert Allison.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association. Memorials may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson, Mexico, MO 65265.

An additional celebration of life will be held at a later date.
