The Tony Dameron Family will be honored as Audrain’s featured Farm Family for 2020-21.
Other area Farm Families are the Scott Snow Family, Boone County; the John Murphy Family, Callaway County; the Jeremiah Strube Family, Montgomery County; the Lee Wade Family, Monroe County; and the Ryan Bailey Family, Pike County.
On Aug. 16, folks can save $1 on adult gate admission, $5 on a one-day carnival wristband and up to $5 per ticket on the truck and tractor pull. Coupons are available exclusively through Missouri Farm Bureau and in the Show Me Missouri Farm Bureau magazine.
In recognition of the state’s bicentennial, MU Extensions, Mu’s College of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources & Missouri Farm Bureau, will also be recognizing Missouri Founding Farms during the fair.
The Founding Farm designation will be a recognition of farms owned by the same family since 1821, when Missouri officially became the 24th state in the union. Formal recognitions will be held throughout the state, and there will be an exhibit of these approximately 100 farms.
