Dennis Eugene Smith, 75, of Paris, MO passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at home in Paris.
Mr. Smith was born on May 22, 1950 in Hannibal, MO, the son of Robert Eugene and Mary Lucille (Tredway) Smith. Dennis is survived by his 3 daughters, Angela (Jason) Ness, Kerrie (Nathan) Heinecke and Mandy (Doug) Buie all of Paris, MO; 4 grandchildren, Payton Ness, Erin Heinecke, Madeline Heinecke and Jackson Mikel; a brother, Rusty (Donna) Smith of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Randy Smith, and an infant sister, Stephanie Smith.
Dennis served in the U.S. Army from 1969 to 1972. He later married Lenice Willingham in 1972. Dennis was a truck driver most of his life until 2013 when he retired and moved to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico where he enjoyed the warm weather and time with good friends, living the “good life.”
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
