Everhart joins ACHS

With new employee announcements, the Audrain County Historical Society (ACHS) Board of Directors has announced the hiring of Ethan Everhart, who has joined the museum staff as a part-time tour guide.

A rising senior at Westminster College majoring in history and middle school social studies education, Everhart joined the museum staff on June 12.

The tour guide position is responsible for providing an exceptional visitor experience to the museum and assisting with special events and daily museum tasks. With experience as an officer for FFA and Beta Theta Pi fraternity, captain of his high school football team, and special interest in the biographical history of Tom Bass, Everhart provides museum tours to visitors and assists with details of the ACHS.

“Some student visitors to the museum may recognize Ethan since he completed his teaching practicum at Mexico Middle School and substituted at both the middle and high schools. He has a valuable compendium of skills with customer service, working with inventory, and teaching history,” said Dr. Bronwyn MacFarlane, ACHS Board vice president and chair of the search committee.

The museum is open for tours from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visit the museum for a tour with Ethan Everhart, to volunteer, donate, and join or renew memberships with the Audrain County Historical Society.
