Frank Johnson, 90, of Mexico, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Pin Oaks Living Center

Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Jones officiating. Burial with military honors will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

Frank was born on October 10, 1931, in Mexico, the son of Frank and Mary Lee (Meteer) Johnson. On April 13, 1959, in Jefferson City, he married Sue Crump

Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. In later years he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. After that he worked as a fabricator/welder for PacFab in El Monte, California, for many years.

Frank was known as a “man of few words” and could fix anything.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Johnson of the home; son, Van (Sara) Johnson of Montgomery City; daughter, Barbara (Ed) Cope of Martinsburg; a niece who was like a daughter, Sonja (Ty) Eldridge of Mexico; grandchildren, Mike Johnson of Warrenton, Candy Johnson of Calwood, Michelle (Barry) White of Mexico, Rachael (Brian) Forman of Mexico, Ashley (Jerry) Crum of Martinsburg, Kristin (Mitch) Jurgesmeyer of Mexico, Megan Eldridge of Ballwin and Shannon (Trent) Beshears of Laddonia; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Darlene (Don) Moore of New Berlin, Illinois.

Frank was preceded in death by an infant son, Chris Wayne Johnson; infant grandson, Donald Van Johnson, Jr.; and an infant great-grandson, Dylan Michael Crum.
