Leon S. Choknacki, 78, of Fulton, sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 5:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 10 on the eastbound I-70 exit ramp to US 54.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occured when a 2001 Ford F350, driven by Dustin D. Nash, 42, of Ramsey, Ill., was stopped on the right shoulder of the exit ramp and was struck in the rear by the 2012 Honda Odyssey, driven by Choknacki.
The F350 received moderate damage and was driven from the scene; the Honda was totaled and towed from the scene.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts. Choknacki was taken to University Hospital by ambulance.
