Folks in and around Mexico now have an upscale option for hosting parties and events.
Homestead Hearth Ballroom, 105 North Coal Street, officially cut the ribbon on Tuesday, Oct. 3, with a party opened up to the community with the Mexico Chamber of Commerce. The owners are Todd, Jayne, and Lillian Yager.
The Ballroom has been open for more than a month and has already hosted some events. Those interested in booking the Ballroom can do so at homesteadhearthballroom.com.
“A lot of you have been in the building,” Todd Yager said to the crowd who joined the ribbon cutting. “We’re excited about the way it looks.”
Those who have been around Mexico for a while will remember the building from when it was a restaurant and lounge. The Ballroom is in the upstairs of the building while Alterations by Collette operates downstairs. Yager said there are plans to “refresh” the quilt shop soon that will also have a ribbon cutting. The Ballroom can hold up to 190 people and catering by Pig Up and Go is available for an extra cost.
