The life and service of the late Vernelle Hull was in focus at a special dedication ceremony at the Farber Library Saturday, April 24. Hull was instrumental in the establishment of the Farber Branch Library, which opened in 1966, with Hull serving as branch manager.
During her 54-year career - from July 1966 to February 2020 - she spent countless hours developing the Farber Library and serving her community.
In her honor, a memorial bench was presented by Farber Community Betterment as was a bronze plaque with her image commemorating her tireless efforts and selfless acts.
In part, the plaque reads, “...she achieved all of this with the love, support and encouragement from her husband Calvin Hull, daughter Diane Branstetter and her husband Russel, grandchildren, and the community that she loved.”
The Farber Branch Library is located at 113 West Front Street, Farber.
