Jerre Ann Sudbrock, 86, of Mexico, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at King’s Daughters Home.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park Columbariums.

Jerre was born on April 1, 1938, in Louisiana, the daughter of Charles and Rosetta (Clarkson) Kelly. She married John H. Sudbrock on June 12, 1977. They were married 47 years. Jerre was a member of Southside Christian Church.

Jerre was a vibrant and passionate person who lived life to the fullest. She had a wide range of interests, from enjoying the outdoors through golf, including two holes-in-one, to indulging in the escapism of movies and books. Her love for travel took her across the United States, Europe, and many other countries, allowing her to experience diverse cultures and landscapes. Holidays, especially Christmas, held a special place in her heart, likely because they brought her close to her family, who were clearly very important to her. Jerre’s role as an encourager suggests she had a positive impact on those around her, always offering support and motivation to others. “Life is wonderful even at its worst” was a recent comment she made to family that accurately describes the essence of Jerre and her outlook on life.

She is survived by three children, Randy (Pam) Johnson, Kevin (Angela) Johnson and Shelley Harvey (Richard Smith); six grandchildren, Jennifer (Rodney) McCune, Kelli (Doug) Wright, Bethany (Richard) Jones, Samantha Johnson, Austin Johnson and Stephanie (Ryan) Roberts; and eight great-grandchildren, Allison Roberts, Katelynn Roberts, Cameron Gaston, Abby McCune, Emma McCune, Bentley Johnson, Benjamin Jones and Ezra Wright.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Hofer.

Memorial donations may be made to Arthur Hills Golf Course, Mexico Audrain County Library or King’s Daughters Home. They may be sent in care of Arnold Funeral Home, 425 S. Jefferson St., Mexico, MO 65265.
