Jimmie Dean Galen, 84, of Bowling Green, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 27, 2024.
He was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on April 20, 1940 to the late Laurence and Opal Galen.
Jim worked in construction as a carpenter and heavy equipment operator for the Missouri Conservation Department. After he retired, he enjoyed working with wood and loved dealing with antiques. He will be missed.
Jim is survived by his sons, Jimmie (JD) Galen (Susan) of Auxvasse, Michael Galen of Denver, CO; siblings, Charlene Carr (Ralph) of Ashland, Larry Galen (Betty) of Columbia, Barbara Galen (Andy Bumbera) of Bullhead City, AZ , Carol Galen of Colorado City, TX; 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Kelly and Marilyn, brother Gary, sister Nancy, and one niece.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Auxvasse Cemetery.
