Kimberly “Kimi” Sue Laird, 60, of Farber, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Boone Hospital Center.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
Kimi was born on August 14, 1964, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Sonny Baughman and Carolyn Arch (Doebelin). She was a 1982 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs. In September of 1994, she married Boyd Laird in Mexico, Missouri.
Kimi had a vibrant spirit and a warm heart. She enjoyed gardening, chalk couture, and crafting, and she poured her creativity into everything she touched. Known for her outgoing nature, Kimi never met a stranger and made friends wherever she went. She loved her family deeply and embraced life with joy and kindness.
Survivors include her husband, Boyd Laird; four children, Kristin (Nicholas) Figueroa of New York, Jessica Eads of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Lori Laird of Centralia and Stacey Laird; seven grandchildren, Natalie and Luke Figueroa, Cali, Cole Eads, Kingston Mays, Zane Dubes and Josh Shepard; her mother, Carolyn Arch; and three brothers, Kevin Baughman, Keith Kmett and Klayton Kmett.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sonny Baughman.
