Class 4 No. 3 Kirksville 28 Mexico 13 in Mexico
Mexico (3-4) trailed by 21-13 going into the fourth quarter over a district opponent, but Jace Kent was too much for the Mexico defense. Kent ran for 289 yards and four touchdowns on 33 attempts. Kirksville (7-0) also had two turnovers, but Mexico came away with two turnovers, one was a interception returned 53 yards by Drew DeMint to give Mexico a 6-0 lead in the first quarter. DeMint caught a 55-yard pass from Kaden Benne, who threw for 75 yards on 6-for-11 passing, to set up a two-yard touchdown run by Hunter Cuno late in the third quarter.
Mexico plays at Moberly (2-5) next week.
Class 1 No. 6 Van-Far 40 Wright City 34 in Wright City
Van-Far (6-1) led its Eastern Missouri Conference foe at halftime 24-14 and held off Wright City (4-3) despite allowing two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The Indians defeated Wright City for the first time in nine games, with their previous win happening in 2014.
Van-Far plays at conference foe North Callaway (6-1) next week.
North Callaway 26 Mark Twain 20 in Center
Collin Moore ran for 137 yards and Jaiden Galbreath went for 99 yards while each running for touchdowns as North Callaway (6-1) defeated its Eastern Missouri Conference foe. The Thunderbirds ran for 259 yards and had a 20-6 halftime lead over Mark Twain (1-6).
North Callaway hosts Class 1 No. 6 and conference foe Van-Far (6-1) next week.
Centralia 28 Class 2 No. 5 South Shelby 14 in Shelbina
Centralia (5-2) led 16-0 after three quarters to defeat undefeated Clarence Cannon Conference foe South Shelby (6-1) after a 48-14 loss to the Cardinals last year when they were state-ranked and undefeated.
Centralia hosts conference foe Palmyra (3-4) next week.
8-Man Football: Paris 56 Southwest (Livingston County) with Hale, Tina Avalon 0
Paris (5-2) earns its second shutout of the season and led 42-0 at halftime. The Coyotes defeated Southwest (0-7) after losing 38-18 to the Wildcats back in Week 1 last season.
Paris plays at Slater (4-3) next week.
