The Mexico Ledger has partnered with the Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce to help deliver letters to Santa Claus this season. A special mailbox will be placed next to the MagicTree and will be available Nov. 25 to Dec.17 for area youth to mail their wish lists to Santa. Letters will be picked up by one of Santa’s elves, who will deliver them to the North Pole.
For its part, The Ledger will publish letters in the Wednesday, Dec. 23 Christmas edition.
“We look forward to featuring Letters to Santa this year,” said Nathan Lilley, Ledger general manager. “It’s a feature we’ve been asked about a lot, and we’re happy to oblige.”
The Magic Tree will be evident on the southwest corner of the Mexico square, vibrantly illuminated with colorful Christmas lights.
Letters are due to the Santa mailbox Thursday, Dec. 17. Letters will be run as space allows in The Ledger’s Christmas edition.
