Little Dixie Fire Protection District announced the appointment of Jason Henry as its new fire chief, as he brings with him many years of distinguished service in fire protection, prevention, emergency response and EMS as a paramedic, according to a news release. He began in October. Former chief Eric Hartman left in May.
Henry’s career reflects a lifelong commitment to public safety and his broad experience will be instrumental in advancing the Little Dixie Fire Protection District’s priorities around quality of life and proactive emergency preparedness, the release stated.
He most recently served the city of Hastings and Adams County, Nebraska, holding the rank of captain, which in Nebraska is equivalent to Missouri’s rank of battalion chief.
Henry brings a “unique depth” of experience in crisis management, medical response as a paramedic and fire service leadership, the release stated. He has served in multiple leadership roles in both fire and emergency medical services across the states of Nebraska and California.
He is married to his wife Tammy and they have adult children.
