Lyle Martin Baker, 71 of Centralia passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 24, at Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home in Centralia with burial to follow in the Centralia City Cemetery.
Visitation was Monday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home.
Lyle was born on March 19, 1951, in Hannibal, the son of Robert Martin and Margaret Lucille (Forman) Baker.
Lyle was a 1969 graduate of Turner High School in Kansas City, Kan.
On March 5, 1971 in Huntsville, Ark., Lyle married Deborah Terhune, and she survives of the home.
Along with his wife, Debbie, Lyle is survived by his son, Keith Baker and wife Cathy of O’Fallon; grandchildren, Cale Baker, and Gracie Baker; siblings, Terry Kuhne of Clifton Hill, Edwin Kuhne (Tara) of Glasgow, and Nancy Baker of East Wenatchee, Wash.; godchildren, Kyland Dickerson, Kyra Dickerson, and Kennedy Dickerson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Donnie Ray Baker.
Lyle enjoyed watching racing, especially Dale Earnhardt. He was a skilled machinist that always had a project going, and liked watching old movies. His greatest joy in life was his family, he would follow his children and grandchildren in all the events they were in and truly loved spending time with them.
