Head coach Lucas Breneman said some of the MEC held “a mini conference meet” involving new MEC schools Mexico Marshall, Moberly and Kirksville on Oct. 14 in Moberly. All- conference runners needed to finish in the top 10, and Mexico had Seth Stevenson and Reid Bickell for the boys and Maryam Waheed and Maria Peuster for the girls do this.
Stevenson was the conference champion with a winning time of 16:39, and Bickell finished ninth with a time of 17:58. The boys were second in the team standings.
Waheed was fifth with a time of 21:39, and Peuster was seventh with a time of 21:53. The girls were third in the team standings.
