Mexico Ledger moving to new location

The Mexico Ledger is moving to a new location this week.

The Ledger is relocating to 222 S. Jefferson St. where it will operate out of suites 201 and 202. The new office space is inside the same building as several other local businesses, including the recently opened Peoples Savings Bank branch.

The move was necessary because the building that houses the newspaper’s office will be sold in the future. The Ledger had been based out of 113 E. Monroe St. office since late 2020, shortly after the newspaper was purchased by Westplex Media Group. New plans for the property have yet to be announced.

The office relocation will not affect the company’s operations.

“While we did not want to move from the current office location, we were excited to find this new space in the Jefferson Building that will meet our needs,” Publisher/Owner Tim Schmidt said. “We wanted to remain in the downtown area and be accessible to visitors and this new space meets both of those objectives.”

The Ledger’s phone number and mailing address remain the same. Staff can continue to be reached at 573-581-1111 or items can be mailed to PO Box 8, Mexico, MO 65265. Information can also be emailed to news@mexicoledger.com.

The Ledger print edition is available at the new office and several locations in Audrain County and neighboring counties. An electronic version of the paper is available the mexicoledger.com.
