Mexico man injured in motorcycle crash in Audrain County

A Mexico man crashed his motorcycle while trying to avoid a deer on Highway FF early Wednesday morning.

The 23-year-old motorcyclist sustained moderate injuries and was transported to University Hospital by ambulance, according to the crash report issued by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The single-vehicle crash occurred at 6 a.m. on Route FF west of County Road 933. According to the report, the driver was traveling westbound on a 2025 Yamaha R7 when he attempted to avoid a deer in the road and traveled onto the shoulder. The motorcyclist was thrown from his motorcycle and both he and the motorcycle slid off the right side of the road.

The motorcycle sustained extensive damage.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of people involved in crashes.
