Mexico Public Safety reports the arrest of 53-year-old Peter Delan on Friday, Jan. 6 for a Santa Clara County, California warrant.

Mexico Public Safety Department responded to the following calls for service over the weekend starting on Friday, Jan. 6:
Natural gas odor on East Liberty.
Drug activity in progress at Springdale Court/Omar.
A runaway juvenile on South Calhoun.
Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Saturday, Jan 7:
Stealing or theft at 4820 South Clark.
A scam on North Jeffries.
Runaway juvenile at South Calhoun.
Suspicious vehicle on North Kentucky/Ringo and at 2717 South Clark.
Mexico Public Safety went to the following calls for service on Sunday, Jan. 8:
Suspicious person on Hisey/Webster.
A vehicle break-in at South Olive.
Property damage on West Street.
Natural gas odor at Garfield.
Property dispute on Fieldcrest.
Leaving without paying for gas at West Monroe.
A stealing or theft on West Jackson.
Car accidents:
A one-car accident on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 10:51 p.m. on Elmwood Drive. According to the Mexico Public Safety accident report it happened when a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Spencer Thomas was driving southbound on Elmwood Drive, when he lost control of his vehicle due to weather conditions and slid-off the roadway and overturned. There were no injuries reported.
A one-car accident on Saturday, Jan. 7, on East Liberty at the 54 Bypass. A vehicle driven by 85-year-old Mohamed Megany of Macomb, Illinois attempted to get on Liberty from the 54 Bypass and went straight off the road down an embankment. No injuries were reported.
