Mrs. Jennifer Fowler is being introduced as the next Transportation Director for the Mexico School District #59 for the 2023-2024 school year. Her duties will officially start on July 1, 2023. Currently, Mrs. Fowler is the Administrative Assistant to the Transportation/Operations/Maintenance departments and is replacing Curt Jackson who is retiring at the end of June.

Mrs. Fowler has been with the district since 2014. She has been a Paraprofessional at McMillan Elementary School. In December, 2014, she took the position of Transportation/Operations Administrative Assistant at Central Office. She is also a bus driver and bus driver trainer. Since working at Central Office, she has also worked as a Homebound Tutor and was an assistant soccer coach for the Mexico boys team for the 2021-2022 season.

Mrs. Fowler has a Bachelors of Science in Education from Wright State University in Ohio and has a Masters of Education from Liberty University in Virginia. She is also a certified bus driver trainer.

She is married to her husband Brock. They have four children: Chase (22), Blaize (21), Jeffrey (20), and Luke (15).
Mexico School District #59 superintendent Melissa Chastain says they are thrilled that Jennifer Fowler is going to be the new Transportation Director for the 2023-2024 school year. "Jennifer has worked alongside our current Transportation Director, Curt Jackson, for many years and she is ready to lead the transportation department. She is committed to doing what is best for kids while taking care of the transportation team."
