Mickey “Mick” Dean Jerichow

Mickey “Mick” Dean Jerichow. The man. The myth. The legend. Mickey passed away surrounded by his family on December 15, 2023 at the age of 67. Mick never met a stranger and was a friend to many. He was a gentle, funny and a kind man that loved his family and friends in a way that came naturally. To put it bluntly, he was one hell of a guy. True to character, he spent his last hours drinking Pepsi, laughing, and telling all his favorite stories.

Mick worked hard in the concrete construction industry for many years. He had many passions and hobbies. Among these were his impressive collection of music, marbles, designer jeans, and t-shirts (most of which were eventually stolen by his daughters). He loved the beach and never missed an opportunity to sit out in the sun. Most summer nights, you could find him listening to music, sitting on the porch, and drinking an ice-cold Coors Light.

Mick was born on July 21, 1956, in Mexico, the son of Larry Jerichow and Patricia (Williams) Jerichow. He graduated in 1974 from Mexico High School. On January 14, 1989, in Mexico, he married the love of his life, Lynne Von Rapps. Together they spent almost 36 years building a beautiful life and family.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate, Lynne Jerichow of the home. Hero to his two daughters, Ashley (Michael) Donnelly and Lauren Jerichow, all of Oklahoma City, Okla. Papa to his grandchildren, Kellen and Ava Donnelly, both of Oklahoma City, Okla. Loving son to his mother, Patricia Staples of Mexico; and an ornery brother to three sisters, Michelle (Ron) Whanger of Mexico, Merry Rubemeyer of Mexico, and Melissa “Chuck” Staples of Milwaukee, Wis.; and his twin, Mike (Jenny) Jerichow of Mexico.

Mick was preceded in death by his father, Larry Jerichow; stepmother, Thelma Jo Jerichow; and brother, Steven Jerichow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Lauren’s continued pursuit of her Nurse Practitioner degree, as those were Mick’s wishes. By request of many, an account has been set-up at Commerce Bank in Mexico, Missouri. Checks may be made out to: Lauren Jerichow.

There will be no services per Mick’s request. There just isn’t enough space here to do him justice. We would love to hear all your favorite stories about Mick. Please send these to the family by mail, Facebook, or text.

Arnold Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
