On Friday, September 8, at approximately 11:17 a.m., a concerned resident approached a Mexico Public Safety (MPSD) officer and provided information about some suspicious activity that occurred in the 800 block of Fairground St. over Labor Day weekend. The activity involved a male exposing himself. Investigation led to the arrest of Zackery A. Oliver, age 30 of Mexico, at 4:16 p.m. Oliver was processed at MPSD and transported to the Audrain County Jail for sexual misconduct (first degree), harassment (first degree), and failure to register as a sex offender. Residents are reminded that people arrested/charged with a crime are simply accused of that crime and are to be considered innocent until proven guilty.
